( Drosophila spp.) - Fruit flies are about 1/8 in. long. They are light brown, with clear wings and red eyes. The maggots are small and white. \r\n
"Biography"
The adults are attracted to the odors of decaying fruits and vegetables. The eggs are laid directly on the food. They can complete their life cycle in 5 to 10 days. Adults live for 30 days.\r\n
Treatment
Refrigerate fruits and vegetables,\r\nand cover garbage. Inspect for breeding sites inside and outside. Vinegar placed in a shallow pan overnight will trap adults. \r\n
